How to reduce your Carbon Footprint (the total set of greenhouse gas emissions caused by a person) and to life more in harmony with the Mother Earth

Everything starts within one self and it is important to look at the world as a whole. A holistic approach to everything what is and lives is essential to really find harmony within this ONE Organism, ONE Planet Earth which we all belong to.
Love, reflect, perceive … for what are we living, what is the purpose of our life … for whom and for what are we actually working, what is really full filling us deeply and where do we get the energy of life from and where are we spending ours. Consciousness, Awareness and Estimation for everything what is, close or far away, big or small … to feel compassion and solidarity with all earthlings, all beings and our Mother Earth!

Use the 4 R: Reject, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle wherever you can, and put the emphasis on the first 2 R. We can apply these R in our daily life and here are some tips where you can actually make the difference, starting with the most important changes to reduce your carbon footprint:

1: Reject or Reduce your consumption of everything what is not essential for your life such as: products, services, water, electricity, food etc.
If possible buy whatever you can second hand to minimize your embodied energy (total sum of the energy necessary for an entire product lifecycle: raw material extraction, transport, manufacture, assembly, installation, disassembly, deconstruction and/or recycling).

2: Reduce or even better reject your consumption of meat, fish, dairy products and egs as much as you can!
“The livestock industry accounts for 51% of global warming” Worldwatch Institute

3: Buy only what you really need and eat, buy local, seasonal and if possible organic, avoiding so transgenic, fertilizers, petrol and other chemicalsl.

4:  Transport: walk everything you can, ride your bike, use public transport, hitch and boat hike, minimize drastically your flights and look for alternatives (e.g. local vacation, train, buses etc.)

5: Reduce as much as you can the use of products from petrol (plastic bags, nylon, gadgets, toys etc.)

6: Switch of all electronic devises if you do not need them, do not wash your cloth as often and if possible never use the dryer! Try to not use air condition, rather build smart, use ventilators or open your window.

7: Water is the source of all living, so try to reduce your water foodprint as much as possible, whereas the emphasis lays not on the water you safe because you shower less, but your consumption of the virtual water (water used in the production of a good or service).
Try to shower only when neccesary, short and if possible without using gas heaters, but preferable Solar thermal energy. Reuse the water from the shower to clean or to flush the toilet, remind: "if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's dark flush it down!". Reject bottled water and drink from the tap or install a water filter in your house and office. If not really necessary use the washing machine with cold water!

8: Share everything you have with others: Your car, house, machines, electronic devices, time and love and so much more!

9: Reduce as much as you can your consuption of disposable products and non biodiagradble ones

10: Zero trash: to find new uses for old products and if this is not possible to recycle at least all your garbage 100%

11: Grow your own food for more auto suffiency: Urban gardening, vertical gardens, compost, permaculture, comunal gardens and much more ...

12: To recycle food, meaning to save the food which would be wasted in the trash without you: In Restaurants, bakkeries, supermarkets, markets, Hotels etc.

13: Use ecological alternatives where you can like the menstrual cup for the period of the women (Yuuki or Mooncup)
- Water Safer, and if your tap water is not drinkable a Waterfilter for your house and office

- to asure that everybody sits during his interaction with the toilet, to save time, chemicals, cleaning stuff and water!
- instead of buying new or used cloth, just exchange them with your friends!
- ask your grand parents how they lived, they all had a master degree in Green Sustainable Living!
- and much more, be creative you will find many ;-) and if you have a good one please write us:
